Vision & Void.
A split between the world we seemingly live in today where tension lies between two opposing visions of the world: Utopia, a dream of harmony, hope and abundance, and Dystopia, a nightmare of decay, control and despair. What lies at the heart of these imagined realities, and how do they reflect our hopes and fears for humanity?
Do we dare to envision a brighter future or avoid the truth and face the fragmented reality of what could have been?
Through the lens of dreamlike worlds, culture, ethics and innovation, we explore the thin line separating dreams from nightmares. How does technology shape a brighter future—or a darker one? Can sustainability lead to a paradise on Earth, or does it mask the seeds of collapse? What role do greed, power, generosity, and selflessness play in determining our path?
This theme is a mirror to our collective imagination: a journey through utopias where creativity thrives, happiness is redefined, and harmony is achieved—and dystopias where survival is a struggle, freedom is sacrificed, and progress spirals into chaos.
At its core, this volume asks: Can a perfect world ever exist without cost? What do our darkest fears and brightest dreams say about who we are and where we’re headed?
We dare you, our dreamers, our creatives, to delve into your wildest fantasies to explore this topic as we reimagine reality and confront the eternal conflict between utopia and dystopia.
